Getting to Castellino Naxos

By ferry or plane, and the short walk from Naxos port to your studio

Castellino Naxos is in Naxos Chora (Naxos Town), on Mandilara Nikiforou Square – less than five minutes’ walk from the port and one minute from the bus station. Most guests arrive by ferry; there are also short flights from Athens. Here’s how to get here, and what to do when you arrive.

By ferry

By ferry

Naxos is one of the best-connected islands in the Cyclades. Ferries run from Piraeus and Rafina, the two ports of Athens, and between Naxos and the neighbouring islands such as Paros, Mykonos, Santorini and Ios. Depending on the boat, the trip from Athens takes roughly 3½ to 6 hours; high-speed boats are quicker but more affected by wind.

Compare timetables and book on Ferryhopper, or directly with operators such as Blue Star Ferries and SeaJets. Always check the latest timetable before you travel – schedules change with the seasons.

Arriving late? No problem – just tell us your ferry and expected arrival time in advance. If no one can meet you, we’ll leave your keys in a lockbox. Send us your ferry details on WhatsApp.

By plane

Naxos Island National Airport (JNX) has short domestic flights from Athens, which connect with international flights at Athens airport. The airport is just south of Chora – about a 10-minute drive. Flights are operated by Sky Express and Aegean / Olympic Air.

The easiest way into town is the local bus: it runs from the airport to the bus station in Naxos Town, just a one-minute walk from Castellino Naxos.

Bus times vary with the season, so check the current timetable on the Naxos public buses (KTEL) website before you travel.

We can arrange an airport transfer on request (at an additional charge); taxis are also available at the airport.
